Posted on 26 November, 2013 at 9:20 Comments comments ()

Now trained in First Aid for Dogs!

Me and my mum, who a lot of you have met as my bather/assistant have spent a day in Somerset at Canine Design Academy of Grooming doing a training day in First Aid for dogs.  It was excellent and we both learned a lot and also recieved a certificate.  We wanted you to feel even more confident in knowing that we could care for your dogs in any situation.

A Full Groom consists of - Bath with excellent quality shampoo to suit your dogs coat/skin and a blueberry facial scrub. Brush and Blow-dry with a high velocity dryer, excellent for blowing out any dead coat. Cut/clip/trim to a style you want. Important info on fleas!

Posted on 23 June, 2013 at 10:25 Comments comments ()

ABOUT FLEAS !!!

After a lot of thought I have decided NOT to offer flea treatments as I want my Salon to stay a Flea free zone!
If your dog has fleas I suggest you give your dog flea treatment at home. I normally recommend to do it about a week before they come in for a groom but you can read the instructions on your chosen flea treatment to be sure.

If your dog comes in for a groom with a lot of fleas, there will be an extra £10 fee for the extra time taken to clean the Salon. Thank you.

Getting busy!

Posted on 13 April, 2013 at 4:00 Comments comments ()

It's starting to get quite busy now with lots of calls for last minute slots and from new customers.  I think now is the time for my regulars to start pre booking your next appointments.  Back to normal next week with bookings in school hours if possible.  You can book through here, the face book page or text or phone 07856 348 148.  Thanks!

Bandanas!

Posted on 1 April, 2013 at 14:35 Comments comments ()

You have probably noticed in a lot of the portfolio pictures the dogs are wearing Bandanas/neck scarfs.  I make these as a special grooming extra and all dogs get to leave with one on when I have them available (unless they like to eat them or you don't like them)!  Thanks!

Winter pampering!

Posted on 1 April, 2013 at 14:30 Comments comments ()

Winter pampering! Your dog doesn't have to come in for a full hair cut, they can still come for a nice bath with gorgeous smelling shampoos, a blueberry facial shampoo massage and blow dry with the high velocity dryer to blow out any dead coat.  Nails clipped and even have pad wax applied if their paws are feeling a little dry!  All finished off with nice a squirt of doggy perfume or aftershave!  Don't worry about them feeling the cold, the Salon is nice and warm and they will be dry when they leave!

Book your dog in to my lovely, homely and warm Salon for a pampering, set in quiet surroundings with one to one attention on your dog and parking is available.  Open by appointment only.

The Salon is set just behind the BP petrol garage near the Hele cross roundabout.  The entrance to the Barton business park is right at the bottom of Barton Hill road.  As soon as you turn off the roundabout take the very first left, a little lane next to a sewing shop (Alterations for occasions).  Drive up lane turn right and you will drive in to a small car park. The Salon is here.

PUPPIES!

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY PUPPY IN FOR A GROOM?

I always say, when your puppy has finished their injections then you can think about booking them in for their first groom experience.  This is a good idea to get your puppy used to the grooming salon, the sounds, grooming table, bath, dryer etc.  It is not about coming in for a hair cut but more about preparing and easing them into the whole grooming experience so that when the time comes for a hair cut, your puppy will be relaxed and ok with it, especially if you have a breed that will need regular grooming.

I like to make a puppy or dogs first groom as relaxing and fun as I can and also to help you and show you how to best care for your dogs coat and what you can do in between grooms to make it a good experience.  If you are really worried about your dogs first groom I can try to arrange a quiet time where you can stay and watch to make sure they settle and put your mind at rest.

Contact me for a chat if you have any more questions.  Thanks.
